Split shows are without any doubt one of the most exiting events for junior handlers every year! We are so proud of the numbers and quality of junior handlers who come to Split every year from all around the world.
This year our Supreme Best in Show judge is Mrs Anastasia Paunovic from Serbia and as every year junior handlers who send us the official confirmation from their KC or official Junior Handling Club that they can represent their own country in Split will go directly to Supreme Junior Handling finals on Sunday. As I wrote you yesterday on Thursday there is a football game near to our showground between Hajduk Split and HB from Faroe Islands. It is not a high risk game as there are no supporters of other Club coming, but still it will be busy and we can’t use the arranged parking on that day. This is why our Club has invested almost 10000 EUROS in cleaning and arranging other parkings around, so we are asking you for support and understanding. The football game is starting at 21, so it would be good that you all have your parking spaces till 18. Judging is starting at 19. Also it would be good that you don’t move with cars from 19 till 21 and from 23 till 24 as it will be probably very busy with traffic. Police will also block some roads around the stadium, but they have instructions to let the people for a dog show pass. There is an unloading area at the bus station on Sedam Kastela street just after the crossing with Osmih mediteranskih igara street. It is a bus station, police has let us use it for unloading, but you can’t leave the cars there as they will take them away and fine you. Entrance for the campers, trade stand owners and cars with the registration tables from Ex Yu countries is from Osam Kastela street just next to the showground. I don’t need to explain why cars from these countries need a little better parking when the football game is near. Please people from Split not to use this parking, we can easily find the place around. Parking for the vans (exclusively) is from Osmih Mediteranskih igara street, try to come in time as this street at some point will for sure be closed by the police. All other cars need to go to Bakoticeva street and after the INA gas station there is an entrance to Spinutska street leading you to three big parking places. All parkings (obviously except the ones for campers which have water and electricity) are free. Please, just for Thursday, come in time. There is more than enough place for everyone to park and our people will be on all spots to guide you. All parking places are few minutes away walking from the entrance to the showground. Split would not be Split if there was not a little twist to make us spend extra money and extra time on planning 😜 Not long time ago it was announced that on Thursday there will be a football game between the local club Hajduk and the club from Faroe Islands. Obviously it is not a high risk game as the visiting club doesn’t have its supporters, but obviously the parking in front of the main stadium can not be used on Thursday. So please note that this is the map for Friday, Saturday and Sunday and tomorrow we will publish detailed map for parking on Thursday. There is enough place for everyone, no need to panic, just plan to be in time and follow the instructions of our people. PARKING MAP ONLY FOR FRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY!
To make the things go as smooth as possible on Thursday we decided to let you enter the showground with your staff and tents already on Wednesday from 8AM till midnight and again on Thursday from 8AM. The security guy will let you enter any time you come during these hours, but in case you will want to take out some staff from the showground he will make a photo of you and the things you are taking out to be sure that someone is not taking the opportunity and taking away something what is not his/hers 😜 Please no need to panic about the place for tents, unfortunately the overall entry is not as big as usually and we have a showground of the same size as the one where we had 1600 dogs per day. So just relax, take it easy and enjoy the experience. Split is waiting for you with open hearts ❤️
Because of the very hot weather entrance to the show on Thursday will be from 16,30 and on other days from 17,30. Judging for the International shows will start on all nights at 19,30.
On Friday Mr Gunnar Nymann will judge his breeds in the ring 15 and after he finishes in the same ring will judge Mr Miroslav Bedekovic Dobermann Specialty. Mrs Jadranka Smojver Selimovic will judge in the ring 16.
Specialty for English Bulldogs will start on Saturday at 22,30 in the ring 16. Specialty for Schnauzers will start at midnight in the ring 6 and Specialty for the FCI group 9 in the rings 1 – 5 at midnight.
On Saturday 13 Italian Greyhounds will be judged in the ring 10 in the same order as it is now by Mr Oliver Simon. Mrs Molinari is judging them at the World show and is not allowed to judge them. Before and after this breed Mrs Molinari will be judging all other designated breeds in the ring 10 as planned.
There will be more information coming in the next few days but just to answer two most asked questions.
You can build up you tents on Wednesday from 21 till 23 and on Thursday from 16. Tents can stay at the showground till the end of the shows on Sunday night. Please remember it is strong ground so you need something heavy or strong to secure them.
Entrance for dogs that are not shown and for people (extra people with entered dogs or just visitors) is FREE OF CHARGE! See you soon ❤️
There are very few dogs left to be checked and by the end of the week we will publish the final statistics and ring schedules. If everything is ok with your entry your confirmation is available in the online application if you click in My documents section. Please check that you have the confirmation and that all details (specially breed, sex & class) are correct.
